The relationship of non-motor symptoms in Parkinson’s disease

E. Golchenko, Y. Karakulova (Perm, Russian Federation)

Meeting: 2022 International Congress

Abstract Number: 1456

Keywords: Non-motor Scales, Parkinson’s

Category: Parkinson's Disease: Non-Motor Symptoms

Objective:  Evaluation of non-motor symptoms in patients with Parkinson’s disease, evaluation of the relationship of autonomic and neuropsychiatric disorders.

Background: This work included a comprehensive examination of 40 patients with PD, an assessment of neurological and psychovegetative status.

Method: The unified PSU rating scale (UPDRS), the scale (Fedorova N.V., Yablonskaya A.Yu.), the Wein questionnaire, the Spielberger-Hanin test, the Beck scale, MoCa and MMSE were used. Statistical processing of the data obtained was carried out using the Program Statistica 10.

Results: The presence of psychovegetative disorders was established in all 40 patients with Parkinson’s disease examined, which in turn reflects the importance of assessing non-motor manifestations. It was concluded that a patient population of 40 with Parkinson’s disease has psychovegetative disorders which, in turn, reflects the importance of assessing non-motor manifestations. The calculation of the Spearman correlation found a sta-tistically significant direct, moderate correlation between autonomic disorders and depression (r = 0.380, p<0.05) between the level of personal anxiety (r = 0.315, p<0.05) between auto-nomic disorders and the UPDRS part 1 score (r = 0.357, p<0.05). This means that depression and anxiety increase as the autonomic manifestations of the disease increase.

Conclusion: The result of this study represents the significance of the assessment of non-motor manifestations and requires further search for diagnostic criteria for the earliest diagnosis and timely medical correction.
